Definitely, not Manila. We all know that
it’s more fun to be gay in the Philippines.
While Filipino bekis smugly strut around, gays in Uganda, on a daily basis, confront the ugly face of fear for just being… yes, bading.
There is an existing law in Uganda that criminalizes homosexuality, and Ugandans can face up to life in prison for engaging in homosexual acts.
How sad, really. Nakakagalit, actually.
While watching the BBC produced documentary ("Uganda: The World's Worst Place to be Gay"), I felt so much hatred for those homophobics. Then, I realized, in reality, that we are on the same side of hate. Same side of intolerant minds. Same side of narrow-mindedness.
When you really think about it, sino ba sa amin ang mas mataas at mas mababa ang pagkatao? Hindi ko alam.
Basta, hindi ko maintindihan ang kulturang nagsasabing napakasama ang maging bakla. Ayokong intindihin ang pinapakita nilang pwede silang manakit at pumatay in the name of this distorted & Godless belief.
Of course, I have my own prejudices. Sino ba ang wala?
But I will never hit someone for his choices in life no matter how I disagree with them nor kill someone because he chooses to go against the norm.
Siguro nga, iba kami ng Diyos. Yung sa akin, Mabuti.
wow! that's bad…they are not being true to themselves BFF. Maybe they are gays inside and just trying to hide the truth. Just like Hitler, a Jew himself, but hated and even committed genocide against the Jews.
ReplyDeleteTry to have a copy of that documentary. It's pure evil. This is one of those things that makes one grateful that he's born in a country where he can be free.
