A big plate of Boneless Chicken BBQ, Tempura with Veggies and Java Rice is a meal I don't mind having everyday. Alex III's Boneless Chicken BBQ (with Java Rice) is included in my comfort food list and Tempura is something I don't say no to. The combo is just so right (no wonder it's one of the biggest sellers!).

Alex III: Garlic Peanuts!

These Garlic Peanuts are popular among Alex III regulars and balikbayans to would bring boxes back to the States. Kid you not. Its great with cold soda and yes, cold beer.
They are available in all five Alex III branches: Wilson Street, San Juan; Tomas Morato, QC; Robinsons Galleria; Matalino Street, QC and North Fairview, QC!

Alex III: USDA Angus Tenderloin Pepper Steak!

It was a protein-rich lunch of (250 g) Angus Tenderloin Pepper Steak with caesar salad and fried potatoes! The (genuinely) tender steak was cooked medium-well just the way I like it. Actually, I didn't pour the gravy until I was half done. Why? I just wanted to enjoy the taste and smell of plain and good ol' beef.
And good ol' it was.

I was right in ordering for a glass of Green Mango Shake with my Pork Ribs Binagoongan. The sharp sour taste went well with the bagoong (manga at bagoong, diba?).

Alex III: FAIRVIEW BRANCH!

Honestly, I was mildly surprise to find out that Alex III Restaurant is located inside a subdivision (South Fairview Park Subdivision). I was expecting that the branch is somewhere along the busy Commonwealth strip near fast-food restaurants. Personally, it's better that way. Alex III is not in the same league.
Anyway, Alex III is located at the quiet side of Fairview where Parking is ample and security, tight. The restaurant has a dining area that has a capacity of 60-70 pax and a function room (named Pangarap Room 4) for special events that can accommodate 50 pax. When I was there, the Pangarap Room was being used by the people from the nearby FEU-NRMF (FEU-Nicanor Reyes Medical Foundation).
If you want to reserve the function room, just give the Manager, Gemma Reyes a call (#376-6286; #376-5179) and she would gladly entertain you.

This is just perfect for the cold weather we have been having now (they say that this would last til February)... Alex III's Sotanghon Soup! Be careful, you might burn your tongue and miss enjoying the really flavorful broth (tip: ask the kitchen staff to add more spring onion, they would gladly do it!).

Usapang Fried Chicken #27: ALEX III!

It's been a long while since I last posted fried chicken here. Except for my regular KFC and Bon Chon binges, I haven't tried any new restaurant that serve good fried chicken lately. Until I tried the Sizzling Boneless Fried Chicken at Alex III (only at the Wilson branch)! It has boneless and breaded fried chicken strips on top of buttered mixed vegetables served on a sizzling plate! And it comes with rice of your choice. For me, it's Garlic Rice, anytime!
