UP LATE @ Broadway Centrum
The Global Port has been touring television shows lately. Before appearing in UP LATE hosted by Mr. Fu, Direk Joey Reyes, Lucy Torres, Global Port's popular basketball hunk Jason Deutchman guested with the other players, AJ Mandani, Josh Vanladingham and Alex Crisano at Cristy Fermin's Cristy Fer Minute.
The good-looking and very tall (6'5'') player talked about his life in the United States and his new life adjusting in the Philippines. The hosts, obviously smitten by the cager's shyness, had fun bantering with him. We will see more of Global Port in 2013 on the hardcourt and they are also scheduled to appear in different television shows within the first half year.

Global Port @ Cristy Fer Minute
PBA's newest team, Global Port, guested in Cristy Fer Minute which was aired on local radio station and televised worldwide, 30 minutes after, via the TV5 International!
Four of the more popular players who guested were AJ Mandani, Jason Deutchman, Josh Vanladingham and Alex Crisano who was the most articulate and the most "showbizy" (remember that Alex was the ex-boyfriend of a papansin starlet who got involved in mindless controversies). People in the Director's Booth (where I stayed) loved Jason's good looks and towering height (6'5"!) AJ'a short but respectable rap "number."
Both Ms. Cristy Fermin and Richard Pinlac, while suffering a terminal case of nosebleed, immensely enjoyed their brief banter with the basketball hunks. And so, did the listeners.

Team to join the PBA (Philippine Basketball Association) with Coach Glenn
Capacio and BJ Manalo as Team Manager.
Aside from having a
meet-and-greet and photo op session with media at the Multi-Purpose Hall in Manila Harbour Centre last September 26, the Global Port Team also played “big brother” for a day to a number of Gawad
Kalinga Kids who were the event’s special guests. The basketball players shared Jollibee meal
with the star-struck kids, had their pictures taken with them, and distributed bags
of grocery items for them to take home to their parents. It was indeed a memorable and meaningful afternoon for everyone.
Anyway, Global Port will have their very first game on September 30, 2012 against Ginebra! Don't miss it!
