"Parvati: Home Made, Dessert Shop!"

Parvati @ Trinoma

After satisfying our craving for chicken at Max's (Trinoma), my best friend  and I were deciding where to get dessert. I suggested Parvati. It was her first time so I had to explain the concept to her (Parvati is a store where different brands of goodies are sold).  She then, excitedly, followed me to the store.

I was surprised at the new interior of the place and the number of people inside. I would say that they were able to turn the store around. Parvati was full and judging from the customers with opened laptop, nagiging tambayan na. Good for them.

My best friend chose Sans Rival and Chocolate Cake. Were they good? I like the Sans Rival. The meringue wafer is "makunat" (the way I like it) not the crispy kind with a sprinkle of chopped Pistachio. I want the buttercream to be thicker.

One Fine Lunch of Salmon with Capers, Pork Chop & Flourless Cake!

Cibo @ Rockwell

Since I could remember, whenever I eat at Cibo, I always order for (Panini) Verdura or for their oval pizza. For the first time (with Tita N), I ordered for "meal with rice."

The pan-grilled salmon was very good (I love the sharp flavor of capers!) while the roast pork chop was (cheerfully, I must say!) taken back to the kitchen by one of the waiters. Tita N and I commented that the meat was too dry, too bland and too tough. The replacement pork chop was a universe away from the first plate... It was juicy and tender. Even the sauce tasted so much better.

And finally, I had  my Flourless Chocolate Cake (also my best friend’s favorite) with my black coffee.

And that, friends, was a nice lunch. On to our movie at 3.30pm.

Never Disappoints!

Wee Nam Kee @ Ayala Trangle

We have eaten at Wee Nam Kee a couple of times (different branches). It's one of those restaurants that you know you'll leave your table satisfied.  Their chicken never disappoints.

We ordered for Cereal Prawns (4 pcs/P375), Kangkong (P180) and of course, Lemon Chicken (P245).

It was good lunch... as expected.

Fiesta at Mesa!

Mesa @ SM Megamall

It’s one of my best friend’s favorite restaurants. Every time Gabby is here in Manila, he would see to it that we eat at Mesa kahit minsan lang. And I couldn’t blame him. Food's good here. And typical of Gabby, nag-fiesta na naman kami. Food was overflowing.

Last Wednesday's Late Lunch at Friday's!

T.G.I. Friday’s @ SM MOA

After our event at the Music Hall in SM MOA, Discovery Channel Head and ACCESS-COO Mr. Jacque Ruby took the team (with DENR Director Theresa Lim) to a late lunch at T.G.I. Friday’s. I remember many moons ago when our college group would go and get wasted at the Glorietta branch. Again, that was many moons ago. They used to have a different menu then. Even the beverage list was a lot better.

Anyway, I had a dish I normally order when I feel stressed from too many choices in the menu… Fish and Chips. Well, Friday's Fish and Chips was okay. Not great but okay. The fish fingers were a bit dry and I like unpeeled potato wedges better than French fries. But the Tartar sauce saved the day. It was deliciously tart and the onion flavor was not too sharp (restaurants that serve very good Fish and Chips: Wicked and Alex III).

Dessert? The Team shared an order of Mud Pie which I ended up finishing.

"Wait muna...
Re-charge ko muna ang magic wand ko."
Low-batt!"

"Poised kahit ngawit na ngawit na!"

"Emote na emote na ako!"

"Got that!"

"Kuya, gutom na talaga ako!"

"Bossing... game na?"

"I'm really cute, no?"

"May changes sa script ko?"

"Cute pa rin kahit hungry na naman."

"Internalize... internalize!"

"STAND-BY!"

"More lip gloss?"

"Gusto nyo ng magic?
