Featured also are Supertool 300, Wave, Charge TTi and the Wingman. All tools are available for purchase and are geared towards the more general user of tools. They all sport a very industrial feel and have the gleam of quality. All four tools are great great for general mechanical tasks to possible First Aid needs all the way to basic outdoor treks.

The Leatherman Tool Group all began when it's founder, Tim Leatherman realized the need for pliers with his good reliable Boy Scout-type knife. Pushing himself to develop this idea into something useful with the help of his college friend, Steve Berlinger, became a reality.

They sold their first ever Pocket Survival Tool (PST) in 1983.

Leatherman tools are available in any of 10 branches of Hahn in Metro Manila, Pampanga and Cebu.

Agusan Marsh Video: Ecology & Biodiversity (Giant Crocodiles, Special Mention)!

Discovery Channel and SM NDSDC (Nido Fortified Science Discovery Center) have teamed up once more and came up with a short video on the importance of the Agusan Marsh, it being "one of the most ecologically significant wetlands in the Philippines" . This special video was shown at the Music Hall in SM MOA on August 22, 2012 and was received well by the hundreds who attended the major event.

-from UNESCO World Heritage Center

"Agusan Marsh Wildlife Sanctuary, protected by law, covers an area of 14,835.989 hectares. The area was given Ramsar site status in 1999.

It is a vast complex of freshwater marshes and watercourses with numerous small shallow lakes and ponds in the upper basin of the Agusan River and its tributaries which rise in the hills of eastern Mindanao. Some parts of the marsh are used for traditional fish ponds and rice paddies. The site acts as storage for rain water and reduces the immediate downstream flow of flood water into Butuan City.

Agusan Marsh is one of the largest and the most contained freshwater catch basin wetland in the Philippines. The main habitats of the marsh include freshwater swamp forest (49%), secondary scrub (14%), herbaceous swamp (7%), lakes, pools and rivers (10%), rice paddies and other agricultural land (6%), and small settlements (6%).

The Marsh is a valuable habitat for water birds such as species of wild ducks, herons and egrets. It is also the refuge of the rare Oriental Darter (Anhinga melanogaster) and Purple Swamp Hen (Porphyrio  porphyrio) and the threatened Philippine Hawk Eagle, Spotted Imperial Pigeon and Rufous-lored Kingfisher."

Last Wednesday's Late Lunch at Friday's!

T.G.I. Friday’s @ SM MOA

After our event at the Music Hall in SM MOA, Discovery Channel Head and ACCESS-COO Mr. Jacque Ruby took the team (with DENR Director Theresa Lim) to a late lunch at T.G.I. Friday’s. I remember many moons ago when our college group would go and get wasted at the Glorietta branch. Again, that was many moons ago. They used to have a different menu then. Even the beverage list was a lot better.

Anyway, I had a dish I normally order when I feel stressed from too many choices in the menu… Fish and Chips. Well, Friday's Fish and Chips was okay. Not great but okay. The fish fingers were a bit dry and I like unpeeled potato wedges better than French fries. But the Tartar sauce saved the day. It was deliciously tart and the onion flavor was not too sharp (restaurants that serve very good Fish and Chips: Wicked and Alex III).

Dessert? The Team shared an order of Mud Pie which I ended up finishing.
