Tears for Fears & Per Sorensen Live in Manila!!!

I am a proud 80s boy who (massively) enjoyed 80s music, 80s fashion, 80s nightlife, 80s thinking, 80s movies, and yes, especially  the 80s way of getting (massively) wasted. My college group went out almost every weekend to bars and discos (!) to get drunk on Stolichnaya Vodka or Absolut (with Seven-Up or Iced) in Rhythm and Booze, Blue Moon, Penguin in Malate, Hard Rock, Tia Maria, Dean's Street in Greenhills...

There was a long list of foreign artists who came to Manila. Luckily, we were able to watch and enjoy each one: Swing Out Sisters, Mike Francis, Duran Duran, Fra Lippo Lippi, Janet Jackson, among others.  But then, one of our favorite bands (together with The Smith, REM, U2…) Tears for Fears ("Everybody Wants to Rule the World" remains to be the group song) never came to Manila.

So, in answer to thousands of requests, History Channel and Ovation Productions, brought Roland Orzabal and Curt Smith for a two-night engagement. And it was such a big, big success!

That’s why History Channel Head and ACCESS-COO, Mr. Jacque Ruby in behalf of the Ovation Productions people would to thank everyone who came, screamed and sang with the British new wave icons!

Incidentally, History Channel’s forthcoming projects with Ovation Productions include American Idol Concert in September 2012, America, Kalapana, Basia, Swing Out Sister, among others!

We’ll look forward to those concerts!

I have here very crude recording of the concert. Sorry. It's the best I can do.
