Classic & Summer Sangria! Cheers!

Let's Cook My Way @ Urdaneta Village

One of Tita Nelia Silverio's (Let's Cook My Way) enthusiastic students suggested to her a class devoted to Tapas. Why not? Tita Nelia lost no time in opening her boxes and boxes of recipes and books and see how she can tweak each chosen dish.

She opened her class with beverage mixing. Who would not know of the Classic Sangria? (I used to drink a lot of this in Tia Maria with college drink buddies!) Tita Nelia cut up in small cubes of lemon, lime, orange and apple after which she mixed in a pitcher red wine, orange juice, rum and sugar! That was strong!

While the Classic Sangria is full-bodied, the Summer Sangria, on the other hand, is lighter in taste and color. And I prefer the fruits used here like mango, pineapple, melon, apricot mixed with ginger, basic leaves, orange liqueur, lemon juice and Pinot Grigio. And lots and lots of ice!

Makes you imagine that you are lazying around in a hammock sipping Summer Sangria with a beach house in the background. Haay...

Cheers!
