Road Trip to Healing & Re-discovery

I could say that we three are very good friends. Best friends even (of loooong standing). Dong returned from the States to visit a sick dad who eventually passed on. A few days after the funeral, we took a road trip to Tagaytay.

And then, it happened.

We three started bitching and laughing like it was Ateneo High School circa 80’s. Sabi ko, tamang-tama isasama ko sa new blog ko. But I had to edit out the “delicate” parts of the chikahan. Demanda ang katapat kapag lumabas, sabi ng duktor sa amin.

We laughed, talked to the others over the phone and before we knew it, we were at SONYA’S already. Nagulat ako because it has been years since I last visited here. The food was no different except for the presentation and the quantity. Better I should say.

We had three servings of the salad, a million pitchers of the Dalandan juice and pasta (I’m not fond of pasta).

Chocolate Cake.

On the road, we had PUTING MAIS, KASUY NA MAY BALAT, and UBE TART from Rowena’s. We went home still full, a bit tired and energized. Energized? I guess, we all three realized something very important which made us feel good no, better.

Na sa hinahaba-haba man ang hindi pagkikita, uuwi at uuwi ka pa din sa mga kaibigang tunay na nagmamahal sa iyo at minamahal mo.

  1. Wow. Glad to read this. Pipo and I were saying - dapat nandun kami kasama para complete. With the five of us there, wala nang iba pang dapat kasama - everything else would be unnecessary excess!

Glad to see you writing again!

    1. Hello! I'm glad that I'm writing again... the writing we like. So happy that you signed up. Thanks so much for the support. Oo, kulang kami nun. Nagkasya na lang tayo sa phone ni Bombet na hindi naman maka-connect! Dead ma si Vangie! I like that line... everything would be unnecessary excess! Bitch! :)
