Ryzza Mae, Sobrang Arteee!

Ang munting bata ay nasa mood (which is normal when you see her backstage!) habang nakikipaglokohan kay Ms. Jenny (VP/Head, Creatives). Everybody watching them ay aliw na aliw sa improptu na "short skit" na ito (they have their own "language" kaya they have a strong chemistry during and after the show). 

Watch her "kikay" moves! Sobrang arte! Isn't that adorable or what?

Iced Latte

The first time I tried Kuppa was almost three years ago while waiting for my Manila-bound flight at the Bacolod airport. I had their Mocha and I liked it but completely forgotten about until I saw it again in a mall on my return to Bacolod. Though still full from my heavy lunch, I ordered for an Iced Latte. I enjoyed it. 

Now, I heard that they opened a branch in BGC, Taguig City which they call, not Kuppa Coffee and Tea, but Kuppa Roastery and Cafe. Interesting. It's time to check it out.

Sobrang naaliw at na-kyutan kami sa reaction ni Aleng Maliit nang lumapit ang Floor Director to give her instructions from the Director herself (dito mo makikita ang closeness ng mga staff ng EB kaya magaan ng trabaho nila) kaya we thought of posting this to share. :)

No doubt about it na gumaganda ang Aleng Maliit! Pero ang talagang kapansin pansin ay kanyang beautiful hair... especially her bangs! Actually, when we asked Mommy Rizza kung merong siyang ginagawang special treatment sa buhok ni Ryzza Mae, wala naman daw. Shampoo lang! Calling all shampoo company na gusto magpa-endorse! 

Why not, diba?

Special Halo-Halo (P75)

I love Halo-Halo. Actually, syempre depende sa ingredients na hinalo. I will never forget the palengke Halo-Halo in Ilo-Ilo (and to think that it was only the 2nd best)! That Halo-Halo is to die for. Anyway, like Fried Chicken, there's (almost always!) Halo-Halo in every restaurant in the Philippines. Hindi naman palagi, pero madalas.    

Friends in San Jose, Mindoro told us of the Special Halo-Halo in Nice & Spice, near the palengke. Masarap daw. So, sakay ng aming "service tricycle" (which we hired for the whole day for P500) we looked for it. 

Well, the Halo-Halo looked inviting though I wanted it to have more color, I wanted it more "festive." Just the same, Halo-Halo is Halo-Halo! Masayang kainin lalo pag Summer!

Japanese Crab Salad

This Japanese Crab Salad is big enough to share (I didn't). I'm a big fan of crab salads with fresh mangoes tossed with Japanese mayo. It's light, perfect in whetting the appetite for something really heavy (how about US Beef Tenderloin Teppanyaki?).

As we were taking the photo of the tarp and the box sa entrance ng Broadway Studio, meron isang nanay ang naghuhulog ng mga documents sa drop box na nakangiti. 

We didn't talk to her. We just wanted to catch her in the act of dropping the documents on the box. There was pride painted on her face. Excitement even. She mumbled a "thank you." It wasn't for me, I'm sure. Siguro, nag-thank you siya dahil umabot siya sa deadline. Dahil alam niyang malaki ang magiging pagbabago sa buhay ng anak (at buong pamilya) niya kapag nagkataon. Good luck po. 

Ryzza Mae: A Loving Big Sister to a Fan!

Really touching. At first glance ay para siyang matandang nag-aasikaso ng isang bata. We witnessed how Ryzza Mae fixed a young fan's hair in more than one occasion. 

No words can describe it.  

Actually, ganyan na siya sa mga kapatid niya. Nakita natin kung gaano siya ka-sweet sa mga ito. At sino ba ang makakalimot at ilang puso ba ang nadurog nang minsang nakita natin ang napalungkot at walang kagana-gana Ryzza Mae nang itinakbo ni Mommy Rizza ang kapatid sa hospital ("A Very Sad Ryzza Mae Playing Her Guitar")?

That was the time na nakita natin ang closeness ni Ryzza Mae sa mga tao sa paligid niya. Tulad ng pamilya niya at pati na ang mga fans niya!  

The wonder child is a sweet child.

Usapang Fried Chicken #30: IHOP RESTAURANT!

I was already warned by a handful of people about IHOP. But still I wanted to try the place. I just wanted to know how bad it is. It's not bad. It's really bad. 

We were served really bad omelet and really bad pancake. They didn't even hide this fact with good presentation at least, gaganahan ka.  But no. IHOP serves bad food, it's like they know it and they are proud of it.  

I've been saying that how can you go wrong with fried chicken??? Apparently, IHOP discovered the worst recipe for fried chicken and patented it. Service? Let's not go there.
