Bistro Ravioli!

Bistro Ravioli @ G/F Greenbelt 1

I don't remember making fresh Ravioli in my life not even in school. Sayang. I love it, though. Really love it. That's why when Tita Nelia and I saw this restaurant in Greenbelt 1 (while killing time) we immediately got curious and went in. We ordered for Salmon Ravioli in Saffron Cream Sauce (P245) and Quattro Formaggi or Four Cheese Pizza (P420).  While waiting we talked with the servers and realized that we've already seen Bistro Ravioli in Glorietta but never considered trying kasi nandun siya sa area na mainit at mahina ang aircon. Kaya pala.

Anyway, we should have tried the Glorietta branch noon pa because the pasta here is more than okay. Its very good. In our case, the salmon was not O.A. (so is the cream sauce) meaning, not overwhelming to the tongue. Hindi nakaka-umay.

As for the pizza, we loved the crust. It's thin and crispy... slightly but deliciously burnt. We took the half home only to find out that the people in the house have been eating at the Glorietta branch way before our discovery. So, it wasn't our discovery pala. Oh well...

At dito sa video lang makikita ang short but very amusing time nang biglang sumayaw si Aleng Maliit ng "Gentleman" ng sikat na sikat na Koreanong si PSI. Watch this behind-the-scene video caught by my camera! And before I forget... I would like greet Eat Bulaga a Happy Anniversary! Congratulations!

The Garlic Bread Tower at Mad For Garlic!

Mad For Garlic @ BGC
They have a unique way of serving the Garlic Bread Tower (P145) which we caught on video. The bread itself was very soft and again, garlicky. At this point, we felt that garlic was coming out of our ears. But then again, it was an experience... sort of. Enjoy the video.

Garlic Overload!

Mad For Garlic @ BGC

Tita Nelia and I decided to try out the new restaurants in The Fort the day we took her childhood friend from Texas whom she hasn't seen for a long time. As we were cluelessly cruising 30th Street corner 9th Avenue, we chanced upon a this interesting restaurant... Mad For Garlic. Reminded us of Krazy Garlic in Greenbelt 5 which we used to frequent (not anymore). We excitedly got off the car, headed to the beautifully designed place that serve Italian-Korean and ordered immediately.

The Grilled Chicken with Mushroom (P395), a Risotto dish cooked with three kinds of mushroom topped with grilled chicken is the best of the lot.

You would easily reach your garlic overload after having Dracula Killer (P195) as your appetizer. Believe me. This dish of fried garlic in olive oil with anchovies and garlic bread can actually kill three vampires effortlessly.

The Insalata di Mare (P595) was one dish we didn't much enjoy. We wanted fish but we were told that they don't have any so we just settled with this. What, no fish? Yes, no fish. How can that be? The Kitchen Manager (their version of a Chef) Winkee Chong approached our table and tried to explain why. Actually, I didn't care much for the explanation. It's enough that I know that they don't serve fish and that the Italian-Korean fusion is one confused concept (their version, at least).

Ryzza Mae is Having Tummy Trouble?

Oh no! Is she having tummy trouble? Bakit siya humahawak sa kanyang tiyan? Actually, she kept touching that soft part of her dress na medyo naka-umbok na kinaka-aliwan ng mga staff and even Ryzza Mae herself. This was during the guesting ni Kuya Mark Bautista where he sang for our Aleng Maliit!

Ryzza Mae, Being Briefed for the Next Segment!

She was being briefed for the next segment pero para siyang matandang nakikipag-kwentuhan lang sa isa sa mga big bosses na si Ms. Jeny (Head of Creative and Production). This little girl (OMG! 2013 Child Star Winner) is not only cute pero talagang very talented! And I know for a fact that thousands and thousands of fans around the world agree with me! Diba po?

Searching for the Best Cronut!

Le Coeur de France @ San Antonio Plaza Arcade

After watching the news, Tita Nelia and I obsessed to try out the latest craze, Cronuts ("croissant-doughnut pastry developed by Dominique Ansel Bakery in New York) We went to Wildflour which, sadly, already ran out in the middle of the day.

We ended up going to Le Coeur in San Antonio Plaza Arcade and tried two variants: Double Belgian Chocolate (P89)and Wild Berries with Cream Cheese. One thing: don't eat Cronuts unheated or else, you'll be rushing to your dentist before you finish one piece. Try eating Cronuts with black (freshly-brewed) coffee. Perfect.

Will try some other Cronuts. The ones in Le Coeur failed to excite me. So, the search continues...

Ryzza Mae: Brush, Brush, Brush Your Hair!

Until now, ay makikita pa rin si Mommy Risa personally taking care of her beloved Ryzza Mae from the cutting of her nails to the brushing of her hair to think there are people tasked in the studio to do that. One can actually see and feel the care and love between the mother and daughter tandem.

Nothing can beat that!

Pinanggigilan ng husto ni Tito Ryan ang ating Ryzza Mae isang araw sa backstage! Siguro na-miss niya bigla ang dalawa niyang equally-cute na mga tsikiting sa bahay with their beautiful mom. Who would not be smitten by the charms of our Aleng Maliit? This short behind-the-scene video was taken backstage right after an episode of The Ryzza Mae Show while everybody's preparing for EB!

Wonderful Desserts at PF Chang's!

P.F. Chang's @ The Fort

We were looking for good dessert after having lunch at (not-so-memorable) lunch at Mad About Garlic at The Fort. We were told of P.F. Chang's which is just beside the garlic place. With a little reluctance and still strong garlic flavor in our tongues, we trooped to this Chinese restaurant. And we were so glad we did.

We ordered the first thing we saw in the menu that looked appetizing. And we were right! The Great Wall of Chocolate (P465) was unbelievable. Six layers of frosted chocolate cake topped with semi-sweet chocolate chips served with fresh strawberry and raspberry sauce!

We also ordered the Mango Cream Cheese Wontons (P185). Its Mango and cream cheese in wonton wrapper fried to golden brown and served with chocolate sauce!
