Have you ever wondered how Alex III can come up with very good Bibingka? Well, I caught on video the step-by-step cooking done by a member of the well-trained kitchen staff!
Ming Kee Live Seafood 7852 Makati Avenue Makati City Tel. #8934533
Triple Cooked Crab Beehon
"Ming Kee Live Seafood Restaurant started in Singapore and is famous for its Triple Cooked Crab Beehon and other live seafood specialists. It is the first branch out of Singapore bringing its very well-known Southern Chinese Specialties in the Philippines for Filipinos to enjoy."
"Acknowledged as one of Singapore's best dishes. Ming Kee's Crab Beehon is stir-fried, steamed and braised to perfectly infuse our secret flavors together with the rice noodles and the moist succulent crabs. The rice noodles is actually imported all the way from Singapore, thus, you would feel the texture and the quality is very different from the local rice noodles."
Its one of the days na hyper na hyper na naman ang ating Aleng Maliit at kung anu-ano na lang ang ginagawa! This morning, nagkikipagkulitan kay Ate Colleen at very fahionable na stylist ng EB!
He is slowly becoming a star like his Ate Ryzza. Why not?
Most of us Filipinos use slices of (less tender) Sirloin when we prepare one of Pinoy's comfort food, Bistek. It wasn't difficult for Alex III to convince me that his USDA Angus Bistek Tenderloin Tagalog had indeed taken Bistek a level higher.
Tip: Eat the Angus Bistek Tenderloin Tagalog with Garlic Rice. Perfection.
I was just looking for a good place to have after-lunch coffee at the Terraces when I saw the poster of this dessert. I haven't heard about this place but the receptionist claimed that Mooon Cafe is popular in Cebu and nearby cities. I had to try this one.
Presentation was something, totally tempting. After a few clicks on my camera, I gave in. The huge, dark cookie was not the fudgy type. It was crunchy and the strawberry sauce, really tart. Tip? Take your Americano black. Perfect.

Tempura
Alex III has graciously allowed me to go inside the ("sacred") kitchen to see for myself how they prepare the food before serving them to the guests! Now, I know how they batter the prawns, fry and plate them in those brown baskets lined with paper (to absorb the excess oil).
The cute angel is three months old! He's well-behaved at hindi siya umiyak the whole time he was at the studio!

Pinakbet
I wasn't aware that you can actually order the Pinakbet sa Bagnet minus the Bagnet. Well, that was what we requested and that was what Alex III gladly brought to our table. A special request that helped calm my craving for vegetables (eggplant, string beans, squash, bitter gourd, okra sauteed in Bagoong) that day. Tip: Pinakbet is best eaten with steaming white rice! By the way, bring your mom to any of five Alex III branches (Robinsons Galleria, Tomas Morato, Matalino Street, Wilson in San Juan and Fairview, QC) and enjoy home-cooking at its best!
We could say that ito na ang favorite naming pagsalubong kay Ryzza sa pagbaba niya sa kotse going to the studio. Bakit? She's so charming!
But we had to cut short her emote mode because she has to practice her lines for the show. At ano kaya ang gagawin niya? "Row, Row, Row the Boat!" After being briefed by the writers, siya naman ang bumirit ng isa sa mga favorite nursery songs! Go, Aleng Maliit!
One thing I love about Alex III's Daing na Bangus (among other things) is that it's topped with a generous amount of crunchy toasted garlic! No wonder that it has been one of Alex III's (consistent!) breakfast best sellers!
