Look Up! Princess ang kanyang mga special guests during commercial breaks!

Ryzza Mae, Inaaliw Ang Sarili!

She just finished doing a episode of her The Ryzza Mae Show. Nakaupo lang siya patiently waiting for her Eat Bulaga cue. But knowing our Aleng Maliit maghahanap yan nang pwedeng gawin. Ryzza Mae is exploding with youthful energy (and creative juices!) at nakikita naman sa bawat performance niya. She is truly a remarkable and extra-ordinary young lady kahit sa mga oras na naghinhintay lang sya. Watch these behind-the-scenes videos.

Usapang Fried Chicken #24: CHICKEN N' MOJOS!

Bloggers Event @ Shakey's Quezon Ave.

Shakey's treated us (bloggers) to a lunch of chicken and potatoes the other week. The event was held at the Quezon Avenue branch to celebrate the coming of the latest Shakey's product... CHICKEN 'N' MOJOS Blow Out!

Jam Evaristo
PR & Events Officer
The afternoon affair began with a short introduction and an even shorter video presentation of the latest TVC currently having its run in the local networks. Mr. Koi M. Castillo, Shakey's eloquent Brand Manager, gave the bloggers a brief talk on the product that invites everyone to TASTE THE TERRIFIC TANDEM OF THIS TEMPTING TWOSOME!

Don't worry, I've already gave in to the temptation years ago.

What's good about Blow out? Well, it  comes in a box. Very handy. Convenient. It's made carton and not styrofoam. Secondly, an order of Blow Out has 20 pieces of beautifully fried chicken thighs and drumsticks with slices and slices of Mojos! Thirdly, its really affordable. It costs only P1,595. What can you say about that?

I was telling the Brand Manager, Koi, about my special relationship with Shakey's. You see, Shakey's was the very first fast food joint along Katipunan. I repeat, the very first. I remember being a member (just like all Ateneans during that time) of their birthday club where you're treated to a pizza and rootbeer (and a cool hat made of styro!) on your, yes, birthday. The funny thing is that the chicken and the mojos tasted just the same as it did many, many moons ago. Now, that's cool.

Another New Product:

Thanks, Shakey's! 'Til the next time!

Alex III: Bibingka!

Alex III Resto-Grille
2/F Robinsons Galleria, East Lane
EDSA cor Ortigas Ave. QC

After that lunch of Chicken Barbecue, Crispy Tiyan ng Bangus and Pinakbet sa Bagnet, it was right to finish it with good dessert. I think we had more than enough dessert but I focused on the Bibingka (P75).My friend commented that it would have been perfect had they placed slices of itlog na maalat on top. Why not? Paging Alex...

Alex III: Pinakbet sa Bagnet & Crispy Tiyan ng Bangus!

Alex III Resto-Grille
2/F Robinsons Galleria, East Lane
EDSA cor Ortigas Ave. QC

I haven't been to Robinsons Galleria for almost a year now and to think that I used to drive to Galleria from UP (to take my 2nd course in HRA) almost everyday many moons ago. I don't know what happened but I just stopped coming here. Probably because there are a gazillion other malls out there to choose from. Perhaps. But after my lunch at Alex III that day, I kinda re-discovered Galleria. Ang laki pala niya now. Funny thing, I literally got lost.

Good thing I had a good lunch (good food has a power to ward off impending headaches and yes, even bitching moments). Protein-rich lunch, I may add. We had the Set Menu (not all Alex III Restaurants have this) of Pinakbet sa Bagnet, Crispy Tiyan ng Bangus, Steam Rice and Iced Tea (P599) plus the still very famous Chicken Barbecue with Java Rice.

Pinakbet sa Bagnet

I'm sure everyone knows what Bagnet is. It's Lechon Kawali that you eat without separating the fatty portion and leaving it to coagulate on your plate. Yes, I enjoyed every spoonful of bitter Ampalaya, rice with the Bagnet, fat and all. Guilt, forgotten. Completely.

Crispy Tiyan ng Bangus

I've been saying in my past posts that I like food with texture like the Crispy Tiyan ng Bangus. It's boneless and fried just right. Next time, I will be asking for more achara.

Chicken Barbecue with Java Rice

And there's the Chicken Barbecue with Java Rice. What more can I say about this classic that hasn't been said before (except that everyone truly loves this)? I will have a special blog on the other barbecue menu items (including this Chicken barbecue) very soon.

Ryzza Mae, Nangungulit Lang!

It's one of those very rare days na slow ang activities at hindi masyadong stressful sa Broadway Studio... when everybody's just taking things calmly. It's so worth it to just point the camera at her and record whatever she does dahil for sure, may gagawing nakaka-aliw yan! Just like this video ng kanyang ng mga pangungulit. Oo nga pala! Its June 12... Happy Birthday, Ryzza Mae!

Ryzza Mae... Kausap Ang Sarili??

Is she practicing for an audition? Actually, she was just being her usual funny and amusing self while eating her lunch with her mommy. At we were there to witness that!

Ryzza Mae: Mommy Lovingly Caresses Her Hair!

We have seen in the past blogsposts how close Ryzza Mae is to  Mommy Rizza at kung paano siya inaalagaan nito. Mommy Rizza is a protective and most of all, a loving mother. And that, for me, is the one that matters the most.

Sunday Pinoy Lunch at the Island Cove!

Island Cove, Cavite City

There's nothing better than driving out of Metro Manila to eat out in a restaurant that promises good Pinoy food (well, Cavite may be near Metro Metro but it's still OUT of the Metro!).

Anyway, the overcast and windy day was perfect for a lunch of Sisig, Sinigang na Baboy, Lechong Kawali, Kalderetang Baka and spicy Chop Suey!

If only we can do this every Sunday.
