"Osaka Ohsho – which translates to ‘The King of Gyoza in Osaka’ – is the destination for handmade gyoza (dumplings). Our gyoza is a mixture of cabbage, ginger, garlic and 3 kinds of pork wrapped in Osaka Ohsho’s special wonton wrapper, then skilfully grilled to a deliciously golden brown crisp on one side yet moist within. Osaka Ohsho’s Gyoza has become our most famous and beloved dish."

More than 15 years ago, my college friends and I put up a fine dining in Pasong Tamo in Makati at the ground floor of a business hotel. Right across was the Shinjuku Ramen House which at the time, served the best Gyoza. People actually lined up to get in. Good thing that I knew most of the  waiters and kitchen staff that with one call, my Gyoza gets to me in a matter of minutes. I miss those days...

Now, there's Osaka Ohsho who, as they claim, has the best Gyoza. It's new place located at the new wing of Megamall. Their Gyoza is good, as expected. The ginger taste is not overwhelming, just right. And my Pork Curry? I just find the curry sauce too thick. As a matter of fact, it was way too thick. Nakakasuya tuloy.

Ryzza Mae: Blondie Is Back!

At first, hindi pa muna "nagpapansinan" si Aleng Maliit at si Blondie. Chill muna sa dressing room. Rest muna si Ryzza Mae katabi si Ate right after The Ryzza Mae Show. 

Si Blondie may dalang tablet at pink pa! Medyo nasisilip-silip ni Ryzza Mae sa gilid ng mata niya. Unti-unti, nagiging interested ang young host. Hmmm... ano kaya yun ginagawa ni Blondie??? So, kahit na nose bleed moment, lumapit na din ang Child Superstar! At from then  on, close friend na sila! 
 

 

Alex III: FAIRVIEW BRANCH!

Honestly, I was mildly surprise to find out that Alex III Restaurant is located inside a subdivision (South Fairview Park Subdivision). I was expecting that the branch is somewhere along the busy Commonwealth strip near fast-food restaurants. Personally, it's better that way.  Alex III is not in the same league.

Anyway, Alex III is located at the quiet side of Fairview where Parking is ample and security, tight. The restaurant has a dining area that has a capacity of 60-70 pax and a function room (named Pangarap Room 4) for special events that can accommodate 50 pax. When I was there, the Pangarap Room was being used by the people from the nearby FEU-NRMF (FEU-Nicanor Reyes Medical Foundation).

If you want  to reserve the function room, just give the Manager, Gemma Reyes a call (#376-6286; #376-5179) and she would gladly entertain you.

Sshhh... Aleng Maliit is sleeping soundly. :)

As usual, during a commercial break ay nakahanap na naman ng magagawa ang batang host. Pumasok at nahiga sa upuang pwedeng angatin. Siyempre, naaliw na naman ang Child Superstar at nagtulug-tulugan dun. Even the Creative Head, Ms. Jenny joined in the fun!

We love taking videos of Ryzza Mae specially kapag kumakain siya! Walang siyang karekla-reklamo at halos lahat ay magana niya kinakain with a special mention ang Paksiw! 

Tulad na lang nung araw na yun. Si Mommy Riza (na-kwento nga pala ni Mommy na may commercial na naman silang dalawa ng loving daughter niya and this time for UFC! Ang galing ninyo! Abangan natin!) mismo ang nagpakain kay Aleng Maliit ng Tortang Talong at Tinolang Manok! Eat well!

Actually, she hosted this dinner for her best friend who came from the States. And since it was still the Love Season, Tita Nelia thought of inviting closest friends and some relatives to might as well celebrate Valentine's... and what a Valentine's Dinner it was.

Alex III Breakfast: ADOBO & EGG SANDWICH!

I was pleasantly surprised to find out that Alex III in Matalino Street (QC) has an all-day breakfast menu. You see (just the other day) I've already set my mind in ordering one of those famous Barbecue classics when I saw that Breakfast Menu waving at me at the end of the table. 
 

Took me a while to decide between the Adobo Flying Saucer and the Adobo and Egg Sandwich. And when our waiter sensed that I couldn't also decide between Hot Chocolate and Coffee suggested to settle on the Dalandan Juice instead. According to him, it's the perfect breakfast combination (well-trained!). He was right. Naubos ko lahat.

Ryzza Mae, Pansinin Mo Naman Ako, Please?!!

This little boy was such a scene stealer.
Nakataas ang collar, naka-ayos ang buhok ng cute na cute na batang malusog na naka-pwesto sa pinakaharap ng audience. He was so persistent to take pictures of Ryzza Mae na gusto pa nga niyang sumampa sa stage just to get close to his idol! Or shall I say, to get close to his crush??
