It would have been better had they not used overripe mangoes like what they served us. The texture (and the unusual aftertaste) of the Crepe was enough reason to ask the server to take the whole thing to the kitchen. And the presentation? It could have been better. Good thing that the entree was more than okay.

We were inside the dressing room waiting for lunch before the The Ryzza Mae Show. As usual, nakikipaglaro nakikipaglokohan ang Phenomenal Child Star habang busy kami taking her picture and her video. As usual pa rin, may ginawa na ang bata hindi inaasahan! May gagawin siya na ikaka-hulog ng crown sa ulo niya! Anyway, she will remain our little princess with or without a crown!

Wala yatang Paksiw o Adobo nung umagang 'yon?? Ok lang naman dahil from the look of Ryzza Mae eating that bowl of lugaw with egg ay solve na solve ang Phenomenal Child Wonder! And as usual, habang kumakain ay patuloy ang pag-entertain sa mga tao around her... without her knowing. Talaga naman aliw na aliw  sa kanya! Well, kasama na kami diyan!

I didn't expect to come across French Toast in the Alex III menu. But I was pleasantly surprised to see the item in the menu (only the Matalino Street branch carry the breakfast menu). I ordered it with Hot Chocolate (another favorite) which goes well with French Toast.  

The Alex III version has this slightly crispy texture (which is good) and the hint of cinnamon and milk add to the over-all appeal. Question: How about an Alex III Pancake? Better yet, an Eggs Benedict?

Actually, both! It's more playful than anything. We were just hanging with the Phenomenal Child Star in the dressing room when she starting "singing" or "humming" (or whatever she calls that)... mamamamama... Nakakatuwa eh kaya we focused the camera on her again! 

May mga pagkakataon na naiipit ang buhok niya na medyo masakit. She would react tapos balik na naman sa ginagawa niya. Walang arte. Alam mong hindi tatandang pasaway. That's our girl!

Cheesecake for breakfast! Why not? Ark's version is deliciously tart and creamy. Love it.

It was fiesta on the table! At hindi naka-limot si Ryzza Mae to say a prayer before eating! Actually, may set-up ng sari-saring pagkain from different regions of the country ginaya ang format ng show ni kuya Mikael Daez na "Midnight Snack." 

Pati ang audience ay nakatikim ng food ni Ryzza Mae na talaga namang nataranta sa dami at sarap ng pagkain! Yum! Don't forget to always say Grace before eating, little lady! Good girl!

She's the usual hyper young lady na takbo ng takbo sa backstage! But the time, may pinagtataguan yata! Sino? Kuya Keempee yata na nakita niyang sa dressing room ng Dabarkads! Ryzza Mae is one amusing little lady na hindi nakakasawa kunan ng video! Her energy is just contagious!

Quite a number of people I know enjoy having Cameron Rebosado with cold beer. I used to do it but I say that I still prefer my cold San Mig Light with Gambas anytime. With Cameron Rebosado? A cup (or two!) of steaming garlic rice with extra garlic! Just how Alex III does it!

I didn't think that Melon Shake would be a good combination with the Cameron Rebosado but I ordered it, just the same. Surprisingly, ordering it wasn't a bad idea at all. 

Ryzza Mae w/ Nathan: Magkasukob sa Payong!

We got a good photo habang nakasukob sa iisang payong ang magkapatid habang umuulan (kunyari) at habang nanonood ang kanilang inang nakangiti! The kids are just role-playing now, unmindful of the fact na pwedeng mangyari yan kapag malaki na sila. Bilang nanay, nakakataba ng puso na nakikita mong magkakampi ang mga anak mo lalo sa panahon ng matinding tag-ulan. I'm sure that Ryzza Mae will grow up to be that kind of a daughter... loving and reliable (or mapagmahal at maaasahan).

Hey, Ryzza Mae... it's not proper to point! Teka muna, ano ba yung tinuturo mo? Nabigla lang naman ang ating Phenomenal Child Wonder and she rarely points with her finger hwag lang kung nababigla. Pero sa totoo lang, hindi ba naman ang hindi magugulo (ng konti) if you're surrounded by beautiful and really tall "ladies" who are not actually ladies! 

Tuwang-tuwa si Ryzza Mae being around these sweet contestants na tinuruan pa niyang mag-bless na akala mo naman eh, matanda na! And they keep on hugging her! Anyway, super practice sila for the Historical Super Sireyna 2014 Wordwide ngayong Saturday, July 19!

Tita Nelia ("Let's Cook My Way!") and I used to have this favorite breakfast place along H.V. dela Costa. We normally wake up early (and sometimes without showering) and rush to Alexia Deli. Then one day, they just closed the place down. And after weeks of constantly checking if they have opened again, they did... with a new name, Ark.   

They still carry our favorites... Salmon on Wheat Bread and Creamy Cheesecake. They have a new item on the menu, Open-Faced Chicken Soft Tacos which we will order again on our next visit. It's good.

I've been such a fan of sausages (grilled or boiled). I remember when mom would go home with bags of different sausages she bought at The Butcher Shop at the Sheraton Hotel in Harrison Plaza many, many moons ago! Anyway, the Schublig at Size Matters is as good.
