I immediately remembered Cookie Monster in Sesame Street na isang "addict" sa lahat na anong cookies when I saw our Phenomenal Child Star having a Pastillas-eating-spree! At meron pa siyang assistant si Ryzza Mae, her younger brother, Nathan, who is as adorable and yes, tulad niya ay isang Pastillas Monster!  Incidentally, Nathan "rescued" us when Ryzza Mae decided na nakipaglokohan sa amin! :)

Tita and I just came from having a heavy dinner at Lugang Cafe (Glorietta, Makati)  when we decided to have coffee and/or dessert. We were engaged in serious conversation when we realized we were already in Quezon City. That was the time she remembered Twist, this new restaurant being operation by a son-mother team, Chef Joy and her very young son/chef. Actually, Chef Joy is a very close family friend who has a few successful food ventures some of which were with my Tita. All I can say is that these cookies were all to-die-for (my favorite, Triple Xcolat), Chef Joy (and the white Puto Bumbong)!

Very good! To think na meron pang nagdi-distract ang attention ng Phenomenal Child Star! Mahirap lang talagang mag-compete sa pastillas at sa cell phone! Buti na lang matiyaga at mahusay si teacher.  Pansinin nyo ang ginawa ni Teacher to get the attention of Ryzza Mae. Now, that's talent! :)

May kumukuha pala ng Quality Assessment ng Loom Bands! Chine-check niya ang paggawa at pati ang mga ginamit na raw materials... kung ito ba totoo o fake! Joke lang! Nakakatuwa naman talaga ang Phenomenal Child Star kase ginagawa niyang bagong career ang Loom Bands! Saan ka makakita ng batang ganyang resourceful and yes, creative! Ikaw na!

She was been even featured by Jessica Soho na isa sa mga Showbiz na lokong-lokong sa Loom Bands! At pinagkakitaan pa niya ni Ryzza Mae ito (P20-30 each)! Nakakatuwa naman na sa edad niya ay meron siyang isang bagay na gustung-gusto niyang ginagawa tapos kumikita pa siya. At sa kanya pa natuto si Ate Pauleen na bumili na rin ng Loom bands!

I needed to have my last fix of Halo-Halo (topped with, not Ube Ice Cream but creamy Leche Flan!) before summer ends. And why not? I threw in an order of Pandan Jellied Tapioca with coco milk, topped with crunchy toasted pinipig! Now, this is life.

There is one restaurant who has survived all these years serving the same signature menu items that they're known for. Old Swiss Inn. I remember going to their Paco branch (many, many moons back!) where we have those sausages and sauekraut (nothing but sausage and sauerkraut!). I grew up thinking that's all they serve. Then, after all these years of not at Swiss Inn, one morning we finally had a wonderful breakfast at the Makati branch. Tita had the sausage, I had the longganisa with eggs. We loved them!

No superhero can smile like this even after rescuing the world! :) Ryzza Mae is just a darling. She poses with just anyone na gustong magpakuha kasama siya. Pagod pa siya sa lagay na yan!

Kung sinu-sino ang kalaro ng ating superhero in pink! At parang wala siya kapaguran! She goes around asking kung sino ang may kailangan ng tulong! Just look at her! Always prepared!

Ryzza Mae was all around the backstage jumping, running trying to burn extra energy!  Amazing girl!

In my book, a good kitchen (first and foremost!) must be spacious, airy and at all times, clean (and sanitized). It must be well-appointed with the right tools and equipment and manned only by well-trained, experienced personnel who knows what they're doing. Everything follows.
